According to the British The Times, Jekanrash has reached a gentleman’s agreement with Sporting Lisbon, allowing him to be transferred for £63 million when the transfer window opens next summer.
Jekanrash’s current contract with Sporting Lisbon includes a buyout clause worth €100 million (approximately £83 million), but in reality, Jekanrash has been given permission by Sporting Lisbon to leave for less than the buyout fee.
Several Premier League clubs, including Manchester United, Chelsea, and Arsenal, have been informed of this gentleman’s agreement and are very interested in signing the player. Amorim is set to take over as the manager of Manchester United, and despite rumors that the club will pursue Jekanrash in the winter transfer window, Amorim has publicly denied it: “I won’t joke about transfers; Jekanrash must stay at Sporting Lisbon and finish this season.”
