According to Romano, Manchester City has rejected multiple loan offers for Echeverry. The club has made it clear that Echeverry is part of their long-term plan, and he is expected to join the first team in January 2025. 
Manchester City had already secured Echeverry’s signing earlier. Despite rumors suggesting he might be loaned out to Girona in the second half of the season, this possibility has been ruled out due to both clubs participating in the UEFA Champions League and UEFA regulations prohibiting direct or indirect permanent or loan transfers between Manchester City and Girona from July 2024 to September 2025. Therefore, Manchester City has no plans to let Echeverry leave in the short term and instead hopes he will develop within the first team.
