Argentine midfielder Alexis Mac Allister has responded to the lawsuit filed by his ex-girlfriend, who broke up with him a few days after he won the World Cup.
Alexis Mac Allister is being sued by his ex-girlfriend Camila. The two dated for five years, and Camila now demands financial compensation from Mac Allister for their time living abroad. She also accuses Mac Allister of retaining her personal items and being unfaithful with his current partner, childhood friend Irene.
However, before Argentina’s match against Paraguay, Mac Allister denied these allegations in an interview. He said, “We are no longer together. She goes her way, and I go mine, that’s all there is to it. As for other matters (the lawsuit), everything is in court, as it should be, and we are waiting.”
“I think this is normal in relationships; she made her decision, publicized what she felt or believed happened, but I know how things unfolded, so I am very calm. I am doing well with Irene, very happy, building our life together in England, and enjoying it.”
However, Camila’s lawyer, Trimbarchi, earlier stated that his client did not want to make any details of their breakup public. He said, “Mediation has ended, but no agreement was reached. The lawsuit has been ongoing for some time, starting about a year and a half ago. From our perspective, no information has been made public; this is because Camila did not want to publicize the situation. Her requests are confidential, like any family case, but they involve financial compensation. In this case, the amount Camila is requesting will be determined by the judge based on the evidence submitted.”
The amount is calculated based on a certain percentage of the income Mac Allister earned during his relationship with Camila.
