According to The Athletic, Chelsea manager Maresca admitted that it was indeed a risk to have Palmer play in the match against Arsenal.
When asked if bringing Palmer back now is a risky move, Maresca said, “Yes, of course. He hasn’t trained for the past two days, we just hope he can recover. That tackle, I think everyone understands what happened; it wasn’t a normal action. Hopefully, Palmer can return in time.”
This season, Palmer remains one of the most important attacking players for Chelsea, having made 12 appearances, scoring 7 goals and providing 5 assists.
