Chelsea Optimistic About Palmer's Injury; Player to Return for Weekend League Match

According to the Evening Standard, Palmer is not included in Chelsea’s Europa Conference League squad and will therefore not play in Thursday’s match against minnows Noah FC.

In Sunday’s 1-1 draw with Manchester United, Palmer felt pain after a foul by Lisandro Martínez. His knee was marked by studs, causing him to limp off Old Trafford. He reportedly still felt pain on the way back to London. Fans are concerned about his injury, and the player will undergo a scan on his left knee this week.

Chelsea manager Maresca said post-match that Martinez should have been sent off for the “clear red card” offense, as referee Rob Jones did not allow the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) to review the decision.

It is understood that Chelsea are optimistic about Palmer’s injury and hope he has not suffered any serious damage. They expect him to be fit to return for the crucial Premier League clash against Arsenal on Sunday.
