According to The Sun, Manchester United has prepared a new five-year contract for Amad Diallo. If the player agrees to sign, his weekly salary will increase from £29,000 to £90,000.
In this week’s Europa League match, Amad scored twice to help Manchester United secure their first European victory of the season. After the game, Amad expressed his willingness to stay at Manchester United long-term and strive to become a part of the club’s history.
The 22-year-old Amad’s current contract with Manchester United is set to expire in the summer of 2025, with an option to extend it by another year. However, Manchester United has not yet activated this clause and is more inclined to directly renew Amad’s contract.
Amad joined Manchester United in the January transfer window of 2021. Including all potential add-ons, the final transfer fee could reach £36 million. However, Amad did not receive significant playing time under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Ralf Rangnick, only gradually gaining opportunities under Erik ten Hag last season.
This season, Amad has made 15 appearances for Manchester United, scoring 3 goals and providing 1 assist.
