According to renowned Italian transfer journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, AC Milan are looking to sign a full-back this summer as a precautionary measure in case Theo leaves. Their current target is Emerson, the left-back currently playing in the Premier League for West Ham United.
Di Marzio reveals that AC Milan have made contact with Emerson’s representatives in the last few hours, having monitored the player for some time. It is well known that Milan’s first-choice left-back Theo has been in deep discussions with Bayern Munich, and bringing in Emerson would not be as a mere backup option.
Emerson’s contract with West Ham runs until 2026, and his current market value on Transfermarkt stands at around 12 million euros.
