According to journalist Patrick Berger of Sky Germany, Borussia Dortmund head coach Edin Terzic has decided to resign, with the club now internally discussing the situation.
The 41-year-old Terzic became an assistant coach at Dortmund in 2018 and took the helm as head coach twice, in December 2020 and July 2022, overseeing a total of 125 matches with a record of 73 wins, 24 draws, and 28 losses.
Last season, Terzic guided Dortmund to the UEFA Champions League final, where they were ultimately defeated 0-2 by Real Madrid. In the league, Dortmund finished fifth.
It is understood that Terzic’s resignation stems mainly from disagreements with senior players like Mats Hummels.
