According to FC Tokyo officials, the team has been stranded in Shizuoka Prefecture due to the bullet train service being suspended en route to an away match in Hiroshima as a result of typhoon impacts.
FC Tokyo had originally planned to travel to Hiroshima yesterday to prepare for their J.League match against Sanfrecce Hiroshima on August 31st. Due to the typhoon, the team’s bullet train was halted, forcing the entire squad to spend the night in Shizuoka Prefecture. Currently, Sanfrecce Hiroshima has confirmed that the match will proceed as scheduled, which means FC Tokyo needs to arrive in Hiroshima in the coming days; otherwise, they will face relevant penalties.
