In the recently concluded second round of Serie A matches, Napoli defeated Bologna 3-0. After the game, Napoli’s head coach Conte attended the press conference.
Talking about the victory, Conte said: “We had a tough start, but I knew we had to stick together. Today, we showed great spirit and unity, otherwise, it would have been very difficult against a team like Bologna. This is my first win as Napoli’s head coach, so I am very excited. We need to continue showing this spirit, build confidence, as we haven’t won in a long time.”
Talking about Lukaku, Conte said: “I hope the transfer window closes soon. Before then, I can’t make any comments because there has been no official announcement yet. When the official announcement comes, I will talk about him just as I do about the current players.”
Talking about his feelings after taking charge, Conte said: “I’ve always been saying that I have full confidence in this team. I’m building an unbreakable relationship with the players. They are all great and working hard in training, and being from Naples, they all have a blue heart. The loss against Verona last week hit us hard, but we responded quickly.”
