Championship club Leeds United have officially announced the signing of Japanese international Ao Tanaka.
The 25-year-old Ao Tanaka came through the youth academy of Kawasaki Frontale and moved abroad to join Fortuna Düsseldorf in 2021. Last season, he made a total of 36 appearances across all competitions for Düsseldorf, contributing 8 goals and 3 assists. In terms of his national team career, Ao Tanaka has represented Japan 27 times, scoring 8 goals and providing 1 assist.
According to previous media reports, the transfer fee for Ao Tanaka is approximately 4 million euros, and he will sign a four-year contract with Leeds United.
