Alcaraz successfully held serve. The players then exchanged holds once more, leading to another tie-break.
In the tie-break, Alcaraz lost his serve first, Djokovic then won two service points, and Alcaraz broke back one. But Djokovic broke Alcaraz’s serve again and held his own serve, taking a 5-2 lead. Djokovic then broke Alcaraz’s serve again, winning the tie-break 7-2 and the set 7-6.
