Kroos commented on his return to the German national team, saying, “When the national team coach asked if I was willing to play in this match, what mattered most to me was being able to help the team. I asked myself that question, and then I thought my answer was yes. I don’t feel like I need to prove anything to anyone – that’s important to me.”
“I’m still making up my mind. The relationship between the club and me is too good for there to be any issues; I think both sides are very relaxed,” he said regarding his contract renewal with Real Madrid, which expires in June.
