According to Portuguese newspaper A BOLA, Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) has entered the race to sign Benfica’s midfielder João Neves, increasing their offer from €60m to €70m.
Previously, Manchester United had been leading the pursuit of the midfielder with a €60m bid. PSG is looking to expedite the transfer by offering €70m. Additionally, Bayern Munich, Manchester City, and Liverpool are also keeping a close watch on the situation.
However, Benfica is still holding out for a €120m release clause for the promising 19-year-old player and will not consider negotiations below €100m. The club is hoping to extend Neves’ contract for one more season, but current negotiations are not progressing smoothly.
