On July 1st, Vegalta Sendai officially announced the loan signing of Yosuke Funakoshi from Yokohama F. Marinos.
Funakoshi, aged 35, plays as a central defender. He has previously played for Kawasaki Frontale and Fukuoka Ventus, joining Yokohama F. Marinos in February 2020. So far, he has made 42 appearances for the team, scoring 5 goals. This season, Funakoshi has featured twice for Yokohama F. Marinos.
Subject to the registration period, Funakoshi will be eligible to play for Vegalta Sendai after their J2 League Round 24 fixture away to Tokushima Vortis on July 14th.
