Italian Serie A club Napoli has officially announced that midfielder Vladimír Lobotevka has suffered a muscle strain and will miss this weekend’s league match.
Lobotevka started in Slovakia’s 3-1 victory over Azerbaijan in the UEFA Nations League on Tuesday and was substituted in the 84th minute. Post-match, he was diagnosed with a muscle strain in his left leg and will miss Napoli’s upcoming match against Empoli. However, according to Italian media reports, his injury is not severe, and he is expected to return for Napoli’s away game against AC Milan in Serie A’s 10th round.
This season, Lobotevka has started all seven of Napoli’s league matches, and the team currently leads Serie A with 16 points.
