At last night’s Ballon d’Or ceremony, former Milan forward and father of Juventus player Tim Weah, George Weah, spoke about his son and Juventus.
He said, “When I was a kid, I watched Juventus because of Platini. I love Juventus, but I never played for them.”
Michel Platini was among the top 10 in the Ballon d’Or for seven consecutive years (1979 to 1985).
George Weah said at the Ballon d’Or ceremony, “Football was my life, and it still is. Everyone knows Juventus, and although I loved Juventus, I was also dedicated to my time at Milan. I fell in love with Juventus because of Platini. I never had the chance to play there, but now my son plays for Juventus.”
