On October 26, according to Italian media Il Messaggero, after the Europa League match between Roma and Dynamo Kyiv, Hummels told fans, “I don’t know why I haven’t played. I follow the coach’s instructions, and if they let me play, I will be ready.”
Since joining Roma on a free transfer this summer, Hummels has yet to make an appearance. Coach Yurić responded to this by saying, “He is N’Dicka’s backup; he will get his chance.”
After Friday’s training session, Hummels still shared a photo of his training on social media, captioning it, “Training as usual.”
