In a recent interview, the Mexican driver declared that his sole objective for next season is the World Championship. At 33, Pérez stands at the prime of his career, and his competitiveness against Verstappen will depend on maintaining a high level of performance. Similar to Alonso, if Pérez can sustain such form, there is a glimmer of hope for victories. Entering his fourth season with Red Bull, any underwhelming showing might prompt a reassessment by the team before the end of this season.
In the interview, Pérez stated to the media, “The World Championship is my main goal, having already finished second. My focus is on doing better, I understand the massive challenge ahead. We need to make the most of this winter to start the season strong and maintain consistency throughout.”
