According to British media talkSPORT, former Barcelona player Dos Santos has successfully ventured into the business world after retiring from football.
Dos Santos was once highly regarded in his youth and earned the nickname “Mexican Messi.” However, his development was not smooth. During his time at Barcelona, he only made it to the first team for one season. He eventually transferred to Tottenham Hotspur in 2008 for £5 million. Throughout his career, Dos Santos also played for Ipswich Town, Galatasaray, Real Santander, Villarreal, and LA Galaxy, with limited success. His greatest achievement as a player was helping Mexico win the Gold Cup three times.
After ending his professional career, Dos Santos began to venture into the business world, particularly in the petrochemical industry, where he has achieved considerable success. He is now a partner in Procura Mexico, a company that maintains a good working relationship with Pemex, the Mexican state-owned oil company. In the petrochemical industry, Dos Santos earns an annual income of between £300,000 and £400,000. Additionally, he is involved in the automotive business in Mexico and works as a car salesman.
