The Japanese team is preparing for their away match against Indonesia, and Takumi Minamino gave an interview.
Minamino expressed concern about the pitch: “I inspected the field, and while it’s not uneven, some areas are quite soft, causing the ball to bounce unpredictably. I think if I take a shot, there might be some unexpected situations.”
“As an attacking player, I want to utilize these areas. It’s important for me to work well with the forwards. Koki Ogawa and Ayase Ueda share some similar traits, but he moves more frequently in the defensive third and immediately joins the attack when we prepare to push forward. As long as we fully leverage the characteristics of the second striker, we can create great opportunities.”
