On November 21, Botafogo club president Dulcício Melo spoke highly of Neymar’s talent but was unwilling to sign him.
Recently, rumors have been swirling about Neymar potentially returning to the Brazilian Serie A, with Santos reportedly being his potential new club. Other Brazilian giants like Botafogo and Palmeiras have also discussed Neymar but expressed their unwillingness to sign him.
Although Dulcício Melo is not interested in signing Neymar, he gave him high praise: “Neymar is one of the best players I have ever seen. He is on par with Messi and clearly stronger than Ronaldo, but he has ruined his own career.”
Palmeiras president Lélia Pereira also stated that they are not interested in signing Neymar: “We cannot accept a player who cannot immediately play after signing. Our signings are decided based on age, the player’s health condition, and the length of the contract, after careful consideration.”
