According to Sport Bild, RB Leipzig plans to change its previous strategy of buying low and selling high, and instead focus on building a squad to win the Bundesliga title.
The report states that RB Leipzig no longer wishes to continue with its strategy of nurturing players and then selling them for high prices. Instead, the club aims to become a contender for the Bundesliga title. Therefore, the club’s primary focus will be on persuading key players to stay.
It is understood that Leipzig will prioritize efforts to convince Lukba, Seseko, and Openda to reject advances from other top clubs and remain with the team. Additionally, the club intends to formally sign Xavi Simons as part of its plan to build a championship-caliber squad.
RB Leipzig has been competing in the Bundesliga since the 16/17 season. In eight full seasons, the club has finished in the top four seven times and secured the Bundesliga runner-up position twice.
