At 3:30 AM China Time on November 2, in the 9th round of the 24/25 German Bundesliga season, reigning champions Bayer Leverkusen hosted VfB Stuttgart at home.
Just 4 minutes into the first half, Leweling broke through but pulled his thigh muscle and could not continue, forcing Stuttgart to make an early substitution with Rieder coming on.
At the 12th minute, Grimaldo played a through ball to launch an attack, Wijndal surged forward and unleashed a powerful shot, which Nübel saved.
At the 15th minute, Sincapé delivered a cut-back from the left side of the penalty area, and Grimaldo fired a strong shot that was tipped over by Nübel.
At the 19th minute, Tapsoba headed the ball back, and it narrowly missed the goal.
At the 41st minute, Wirtz delivered a corner kick, and Tapsoba connected with a header that hit the crossbar and bounced out!
At the 42nd minute, Mirat carried the ball forward, Andrich and Mukiele tackled him aggressively, and the latter received a yellow card for a dangerous challenge.

Wirtz then passed the ball back to the front of the goal, but Wijndal was ruled offside before he could take a shot.
At the 45th minute, Wirtz delivered another corner kick, and Bonifas headed the ball towards the goal, but Nübel made a brilliant save, and Leverkusen missed another good opportunity.
