British Media: West Ham's Major Shareholder to Meet Technical Director This Week to Discuss Lopetegui's Future

According to The Times, although West Ham United is currently not in the relegation zone of the Premier League, the club’s management is still dissatisfied with this season’s performance and may decide on the future of head coach Julen Lopetegui as early as this week.

The report states that the Hammers have only won three of their first 11 matches this season and have also been eliminated from the EFL Cup. As a result, the club’s major shareholder David Sullivan and technical director Marcellus Staeten have decided to meet this week to discuss Lopetegui’s future.

It is understood that West Ham’s management believes that after spending £100 million in the summer transfer window to bolster Lopetegui’s squad, the manager has not shown significant improvement in the team’s performance. Moreover, recent matches indicate that Lopetegui has lost the support of the fans.
