According to Italian newspaper La Repubblica, Italy might adjust its lineup for the final group stage match against Croatia. Struggling forwards Scamacca, Jorginho, and Delli Lorenzo could see replacements on the pitch.
In their match against Spain, both Scamacca and Jorginho’s performances were criticized, and Delli Lorenzo had a particularly difficult time defending against Nico Williams.
In light of these performances, players like Retegui and Cristante might step in for a starting role, potentially replacing Scamacca and Jorginho. Delli Lorenzo’s position could also be occupied by Cambiasso.
Attacking options are not set in stone either, with Kessie and Falteroni facing competition from players like Raspadori and Zaniolo, while young midfielder Nicolo Pellegrini may gain more tactical significance in the lineup.
After two matches, Italy has one win and one loss, accumulating three points. A draw against Croatia would secure them second place in the group and progress to the knockout stages.
