Recently, UEFA President Aleksander Čeferin expressed his high hopes for the future of Spanish prodigy Yamal, stating that the Spanish national team has a strong chance to secure their fourth Euro title.
The 16-year-old Yamal impressed in Spain’s opening Euro match against Croatia, providing a sublime assist and becoming the youngest player ever to feature in the Euros without a doubt. After visiting the 2024 Euro national teams’ training headquarters, Čeferin spoke to the media, lavishing praise on the young talent’s abilities.
Čeferin remarked, “Yamal is currently the strongest young player in the world and will soon be the best player globally. If I had a football club and the necessary transfer funds, I would sign Yamal first.”
He also shared his perspective on Spain’s chances of winning this edition of the Euros, emphasizing it as an excellent opportunity for the “La Roja” to achieve that goal. Čeferin stated, “Spain is an exceptional team, and I’ve said it repeatedly — they are among the favorites to win the Euros.”
