On June 19, in the second round of Group A matches at the European Championship, Germany will face Hungary. Despite widespread expectations in favor of the German team, Germany’s coach Julian Nagelsmann remains cautious, emphasizing that his side will face significant pressure from the Hungarians.
In the first round, Germany won impressively against Scotland with a score of 5-1, while Hungary lost to Switzerland 1-3. Commenting on Hungary, Nagelsmann said, “After their first match, Hungary is in a more precarious position and under greater pressure than us. Based on their performance against Switzerland, they deserved a better result.”
Nagelsmann discussed the upcoming contest, stating, “Hungary will come out stronger offensively against us. We can’t expect an easy victory. They have a clear attacking structure and excel in counterattacks and transitions. If we defend well, we can take control of the game; if not, it could become very dangerous. The outcome will depend on our performance and our ability to start strongly.”
