According to the Daily Mail, Austria manager Ralf Rangnick took his squad to see rock star Rod Stewart’s concert in Berlin ahead of their opening Euro 2024 group match against France.
Rangnick, highly respected in football circles, has shown his unconventional approach by first turning down Bayern Munich’s offer in the summer, saying he wanted to “continue focusing on the development of the Austrian team,” and then, just before facing their toughest Group opponent, France, he led the entire squad to Berlin for a live performance by Rod Stewart.
Fans can’t help but admire Rangnick’s confidence, as the match against France is set to take place in Düsseldorf. Amidst such preparations, finding time to expose his team to artistic enrichment truly earns him the nickname “Professor.”
