Borussia Dortmund has officially announced that head coach Edin Terzic will no longer be coaching the team.
According to previous media reports, Terzic tendered his resignation last night. After internal club discussions, it was decided to respect his choice, and both parties will formally part ways.
The 41-year-old Terzic became an assistant coach at Borussia Dortmund in 2018 and twice took on the role of head coach in December 2020 and July 2022, cumulatively managing 125 matches with a record of 73 wins, 24 draws, and 28 losses.
Last season, Terzic led Dortmund to the UEFA Champions League final, where they were ultimately defeated 0-2 by Real Madrid. In the league, Dortmund finished in fifth place.
