The first round of the Segunda Division promotion playoffs has concluded, with RCD Espanyol and Real Oviedo securing their places in the final.
As the fourth-placed team in the regular season, Espanyol faced fifth-placed Sporting Gijón. They advanced after a 1-0 away win and a goalless home draw, with an aggregate score of 1-0. Meanwhile, sixth-placed Real Oviedo met third-placed Eibar, drawing 0-0 at home and then winning 2-0 away to progress with a 2-0 overall victory.
The promotion playoff final will also consist of two legs, with the first leg taking place on June 17 at 0:30 at Real Oviedo’s home ground. The return leg will be held on June 24 at 0:30 at RCD Espanyol’s stadium.
