The opening match of Group B in the European Championship between Spain and Croatia is set to kick off on June 16 at 00:00. Ahead of the clash, Spanish newspaper Marca has used FIFA 24 to simulate the game’s outcome.
In the simulated match, Spain lined up with a 4-3-3 formation, with Morata, Nico Williams, and young talent Yamar leading the attack. The midfield trio consisted of Rodri, Merino, and Pedri.
Croatia also fielded a 4-3-3 setup, featuring Kramaric, Perisic, and Majer upfront, while captain Luka Modric partnered with Brozovic and Kovacic in midfield.
According to the simulation, Modric scored the opening goal for Croatia, but Spain responded with a leveling goal from left-back Grimaldo via a direct free-kick. Midfielders Merino and Pedri then added goals to secure a 3-1 victory for Spain.
