On August 26th, NFL legend Tom Brady, after attending an Inter Miami match, expressed his intention to bring Messi to Birmingham, a club in which he is an investor.
In this round of the MLS, Inter Miami easily defeated FC Cincinnati 2-0. Despite Messi being sidelined due to injury, it did not stop Inter Miami’s impressive run. After the game, NFL legend Tom Brady, who was present at the match, took a photo with Messi and Beckham. Beckham uploaded the trio’s photo to his social media account and commented that Messi and Brady are the greatest players.
Under Beckham’s social media post, Brady left a comment: “Sorry, Beckham, I’m bringing Messi to Birmingham.”
Currently, Brady is a minority shareholder in Birmingham. However, Birmingham has been struggling in recent years and has dropped to the third-tier English Football League, making it extremely difficult for them to return to the Premier League.
Messi has recently been out due to injury, and the club hopes he will be back in time for the playoffs starting in October.
