On August 27, in a recent exclusive interview with Portuguese media Now Cannal, Ronaldo talked about the timing of his retirement and stated that he has no intention of becoming a coach after retiring.
When asked if his career is coming to an end, Ronaldo frankly said: “I don’t know if it will happen soon, maybe in two or three years. I don’t know. Perhaps I might retire at Al-Nassr. I am feeling very good in Saudi Arabia and in this league, and it is very likely that I will finish my career here. I am happy playing in the Saudi league and want to continue.”
Regarding whether he would like to become a coach after retiring, Ronaldo said: “I think it would be hard, I do not currently see myself considering being a head coach for any team, I have never thought about it. Moreover, I don’t think the future holds that for me. I could do other things outside of football, but only God knows what will happen in the future.”
In addition, Ronaldo also discussed Spain’s victory in the European Cup, saying: “Spain was undoubtedly the best team in this European Cup. This might also be why they won the championship. They have young players and some experienced veterans, so I congratulate Spain on their well-deserved win.”
