On August 30, prior to the draw ceremony for the 2024/25 Champions League season, UEFA President Ceferin presented Portuguese legendary striker Cristiano Ronaldo with the award for the all-time top scorer in the Champions League, recognizing his record of scoring the most goals in the history of the competition with 140.
Ronaldo then also served as a guest at the Champions League draw ceremony. After the ceremony, Ronaldo posted on social media, “It’s a great honor to receive the award for the all-time top scorer in the Champions League, thank you all for your support along the way, thank you!”
