According to British media Sky Sports, despite a relaxed approach from all parties regarding Arteta’s contract extension, the reality is that Arteta is expected to sign a long-term contract with the team soon.
Arteta has a very close relationship with sporting director Edu and the Kroenke family, to the extent that formal renewal negotiations can be considered unnecessary. Conversations between the parties have never stopped, and the club is very confident and willing to entrust its future to Arteta.
Currently, Arteta’s contract with Arsenal expires in 2025, yet neither the club nor Arteta’s side are in a rush to push forward the renewal process. This is because there is already a consensus among all parties, and there is no pressure for forced negotiations.
Arteta has stated that his renewal with Arsenal will be “natural,” and his focus with Edu remains on team building to ensure a strong start to the new season. Moreover, Arteta has revealed his hope to lead the team to their first Premier League title since 2004.
