On August 17, in the first round of Ligue 1, Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) secured a decisive 4-1 victory over Le Havre. However, at the post-match press conference, PSG’s head coach Enrique expressed that the win was not as easy as it seemed.
When commenting on the match, Enrique stated, “Winning this game was not easy. At the beginning, we played calmly and scored a goal. But taking an early lead led to some laxity, which allowed our opponents to equalize, causing us some trouble. In the second half, we had more opportunities to seal the game.”
Enrique continued, “We always strive to leverage our strengths on the field. In the final moments of the match, we were the better team. It is always difficult to turn the tables in an away game, but we managed to do it once again.”
With Mbappe leaving Paris Saint-Germain, the prospects for PSG are not highly regarded by many. Winning the opener under these circumstances is particularly important for the team.
