According to Italian media reports, the Audi Group intends to expedite its acquisition plan for Sauber, aiming to take full 100% ownership by New Year’s Day to better prepare for the 2026 F1 season.
The report states that even if Audi completes the acquisition next year, the Sauber team will retain its original name, with no immediate impact on the competition.
The summer break for this season’s F1 has officially ended. This weekend, teams will compete in the Dutch Grand Prix at the Zandvoort Circuit, marking the start of the final ten rounds of this season.
Currently, in the driver standings, there are still three drivers who have not scored any points: Zhou Guanyu, Logan Sargeant, and Valtteri Bottas. The Sauber team is also the only one that remains scoreless this season.
