According to Marca, the Serie A club Como has made a surprising decision by not registering French central defender Varane for the Italian league.
The Italian team, led by Spanish star Fabregas, is reportedly now considering terminating the contract with this defender.
Although Varane became a free agent on June 30th, Como only officially signed him on July 28th. Although this transfer did not involve a transfer fee, due to Varane’s high salary during his time at Manchester United and his frequent injury record in recent years, the signing still carried some risk.
Varane joined the team as a star player but was forced to leave the field due to injury just 20 minutes into his first match. This game took place on August 11th, when Como faced Sampdoria in the Coppa Italia, and Como ultimately lost the match.
Since that injury, Varane has not played again, and all signs indicate that his injury is more serious than initially expected.
According to reports, Como is considering terminating Varane’s contract. Previously, Varane had signed a contract with the team until 2026, with an option to extend for one more year. However, as of now, Varane has not been registered for the Serie A league.
