According to Motorsport, Alpine engine department employees will stage a “protest” at Monza.
It is reported that during Friday’s practice sessions, about a hundred employees will appear in the grandstands of the Monza circuit, displaying banners calling for Renault engines not to exit F1. However, they stated that the “protest” would not interfere with the normal running of the race.
In addition, most of the employees at Renault’s power unit headquarters in Viry-Châtillon, France, will go on strike. These actions are all in protest of the Renault Group’s plan to abandon their self-developed F1 power unit.
