The 28-year-old Real Madrid midfielder, Ceballos, expressed his hope in an interview to continue achieving success while wearing the Real Madrid jersey.
Ceballos played a significant role in Real Madrid’s pre-season preparations as Camavinga, Tchouaméni, and Valverde returned to the team later due to their vacations. However, with limited playing time last season, his position within the squad remains uncertain.
In an interview with Relevo, Ceballos said, “There are still a few days left in the transfer market, but I don’t think there will be much movement. The coach knows what I want. The pre-season has boosted my confidence, and Ancelotti is also aware of what I have asked for, just as he has made demands of me.”
“Playing time is earned through hard work. Playing 10, 15, or 20 minutes in a Real Madrid shirt is far more important than playing 10 games in another team’s jersey, as Zidane used to say. The easiest thing would be to give up, but I hope to get playing time and achieve success here.”
It is reported that Ceballos will be allowed to leave if a suitable offer is presented, but considering he is one of only five midfielders in the squad (not including Bellingham), Real Madrid will not let him go easily. Last season, Ceballos only played 864 minutes, starting in just 8 matches, significantly less than the previous season. He signed a new four-year contract last year, which extends until 2027.
