On July 29, Qingdao West Coast officially announced that Shao Jiayi would serve as the team’s head coach. Immediately after the announcement, the Chinese Football Association (CFA) and the Chinese national team posted messages wishing Shao Jiayi all the best.

Starting from August 2019, he served in various roles including Training Director of the Chinese Football Association’s National Team Management Department, Team Manager and Assistant Coach of the U19 Men’s National Team, Head Coach of the U18 Men’s National Team, and Assistant Coach of the Senior Men’s National Team. Regardless of how time passed or his role changed, Coach Shao’s passion for Chinese football never waned. Now, as the head coach of a Super League club, he remains dedicated to professional football with the same enthusiasm for a bright future for Chinese football, demonstrating his sense of responsibility and commitment.
