Earlier this week, multiple media outlets reported on Paris Saint-Germain’s pursuit of Manchester United star Jadon Sancho. According to The Mirror, Manchester United has now disclosed the price tag for Sancho.
The Mirror states that Manchester United is seeking a transfer fee of £40 million for Sancho. When he joined in 2021, Sancho cost the club £75 million, and now the Red Devils are willing to absorb this significant loss. After a major fallout with Erik ten Hag, he was suspended internally by the team, then loaned out to Borussia Dortmund. There, Sancho performed impressively, helping the team reach the Champions League final, which boosted his value. However, Manchester United still wishes to sell him.
During his time at Manchester United, Sancho struggled, scoring only 12 goals in 82 appearances. Currently, he is preparing with the team for the preseason, and if he plays, it will mark his return to competitive football after an 11-month absence. The report also indicates that if PSG meets Manchester United’s asking price, the transfer process will begin immediately, and Sancho will leave the club before the new Premier League season starts in August.
