On August 2, according to official news from the French Football Federation’s DNCG Federal Control Committee, Bordeaux, which had previously undergone bankruptcy restructuring, has been confirmed to be relegated to the fourth division of French football.
Following the DNCG’s decision, Bordeaux will be demoted to the National 3 league. Bordeaux had hoped to retain its National 2 status during a hearing but this was ultimately rejected.
According to previous news, Bordeaux underwent bankruptcy restructuring, with all club debts temporarily frozen. This means that Bordeaux still has room to maneuver in dealing with its debts over the next ten years.
