The announcement reads as follows:
On June 29, during pre-match training for Round 17 of the Chinese Super League, first-team player Shen Zuijie of Shanghai Port FC unexpectedly sustained an injury. Following multiple examinations and consultations with medical experts, in conjunction with the assessment by the team鈥檚 medical staff, it was confirmed that the player had suffered a complete tear of the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in his right knee, accompanied by meniscus damage.
Given the severity of Shen Zuijie鈥檚 injury, which required prompt surgical intervention, and considering the lengthy and complex postoperative recovery period, the club, after careful consideration and thorough consultation with the player, medical team, and coaching staff, made the decision to send Shen Zuijie to the UK for ACL reconstruction surgery.
