Sky Sports reports that Inter Miami midfielder Diego Gómez has caught the interest of Brighton, and negotiations between the two clubs are currently underway.
The 21-year-old Gómez, who captains the Paraguayan Olympic team, has made 12 appearances for Inter Miami this season, scoring three goals and providing three assists. According to Sky Sports, the transfer is all but a formality, with the two sides still discussing the specific transfer fee, which is around €12 million.
In a previous interview, Gómez stated: “My agent is in discussions with Inter Miami and Brighton. I hope to make the move to Europe, and I hope it goes as I wish.”
