Recently, in response to concerns raised by some European and American media about the strong performances of Chinese swimmers at the Paris Olympics, the official spokesperson for the International Olympic Committee (IOC), Mark Adams, provided a statement.
Following Chinese swimmer Pan Zhanle’s world record-breaking performance of 46.4 seconds to win the men’s 100m freestyle gold medal at the Paris Olympics, some European and American media outlets expressed skepticism over such achievements.
In response, IOC official spokesperson Mark Adams stated, “The Chinese swimming team is the most-tested team for doping at the Paris Olympics. Since January this year, they have undergone more than 600 tests, so they have been thoroughly examined.”
