On July 16, Parma Club officially announced that Japanese goalkeeper Ayaka Suzuki has joined the team.
Last season, Omiya Ardija loaned Ayaka Suzuki to Sint-Truidense VV. Due to her steady performance, she has now been signed permanently. Notably, the 21-year-old Ayaka Suzuki has been nicknamed the “Japanese Onana” due to her resemblance to Manchester United’s goalkeeper Onana.
Last season, Parma won the Serie B title and were promoted to Serie A. During the summer transfer window, they are strengthening their squad with new signings in hopes of remaining in Serie A.
