Last summer, Chelsea beat Liverpool to sign Ecuadorian international, Kasado. This season, Kasado has performed exceptionally well. In an interview with The Athletic (TA) today, he discussed why he chose the Blues over Liverpool.
Kasado said, “This choice was very difficult, extremely difficult. You know that Liverpool is a strong team and so are Chelsea, but Chelsea pursued me for a long time. I felt like I couldn’t miss this opportunity. At the time, Brighton didn’t want me to leave; they were always there for me during my most challenging times. It was a tough decision, but I knew I would choose Chelsea 100%.”
“When I first came to Chelsea, it was very difficult because it’s a big club that spends a lot of money, so you need to help the team win every game. That put immense pressure on me. After all, Brighton is a small club, while Chelsea is completely different. Here, there’s a long history and many famous players. It took me a while to adapt, but over the past four to five months, I’ve felt increasingly comfortable.”
