Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti emphasized in an interview that there is no special treatment for superstars within the team, including Kylian Mbappé.
Following a grand welcoming ceremony for Mbappé, Real Madrid is actively preparing for the upcoming season. The team will face AC Milan, Barcelona, and Chelsea in their upcoming friendlies. On August 15th, they will compete against Atalanta for the UEFA Super Cup. When discussing preparations, Ancelotti said, “The squad is set. Vallejo has returned, Alaba is recovering, and we have some young players in training who are showing a high level of play, such as three center-backs: Joan Martínez, Ramón, and Raúl Asensio. We feel secure in this position. Alaba will return and perform well. No one is leaving because everyone wants to stay.”
Kylian Mbappé is currently still on vacation after the Euros but will definitely be back before Real Madrid’s first trophy contest of the season, the UEFA Super Cup. However, there is no special treatment for superstars at Real Madrid. Ancelotti stated, “There’s still some time until the UEFA Super Cup, so we’re focusing on the players who have already returned, even though we still have players on vacation, we have a very good squad. Tactics for the new season? We may use a 4-3-3 or a 4-4-2, similar to last year, as we have enough resources in our squad to support these formations. Changes in playing style? We need depth in attack, quickly entering the opponent’s half creates more opportunities to cause trouble. I’m not saying we’ll completely maintain the same style as last season, there will be some changes, but not too many. Our philosophy is always to control the game, play with depth, and defend well, which is something we did well last year.”
“Real Madrid’s success is due to the club’s history and tradition, as well as the competence of management,” Ancelotti added, “They can build an outstanding squad over time, which is key to Real Madrid being the biggest club in the world.”
